magical, ARTROOM 2nd Version Launched!
We, magical, ARTROOM, open a new space on 7:00 pm, July 7, 2008. Regarding
the organization, Satoshi Okada assumes the office of the president, Masami
Shiraishi is installed as a professional adviser, and CUE INTERNATIONAL
forms the nucleus of the gallery, which is run by Haruka Ito. The former
directors, Kentaro Ichihara and Shigeo Goto remain as advisers.
In the coming years we aspire to enhance our management skills to further
pursue our goal of introducing young Japanese artists to audiences within
and outside of Japan. Our scheme to support young and upcoming artists
and permeate contemporary art in various social aspects will include magazine
production, publishing, music label, radio and other media exposure, ART
AWARD TOKYO, and establishing educational programs and art salons. We
appreciate your future support as magical, ARTROOM takes a stride onto
a new stage.
As for our first exhibition at the new space, we are planning a new exhibition
“NEW BEGINNINGーThe show must go on！”, composed of eleven gallery artists,
including Fumiaki Akahane, Miyuki Akiyama, Yohei Imamura, Tadasuke Iwanaga,
Daisuke Ohba, Emi Otaguro, Hitoshi Kuriyama, Hyon Gyon, Takehiko Hoshino,
Miyako Masaki, Yamataka EYE. We hope you would feel the direction of new
magical, ARTROOM through this exhibition, which shows the core artists
of magical, ARTROOM. The reception party will be held on the first day,
July 7; starts at 7:00 pm. Please come to our commemorative exhibition.
magical, ARTROOM 2nd Versionスタート！！
このたびmagical, ARTROOMは、2008年7月7日7PMより恵比寿に新スペースを構える事になりました。体制としては、岡田聡を代表とし、新たに白石正美をプロフェッショナルアドバイザーに迎え、（株）キューインターナショナルを母体として、伊藤悠がギャラリーをまとめます。これまで運営メンバーであった市原研太郎、後藤繁雄にはアドバイザーとして引き続き関わっていただきます。
今後は、日本の若手作家を国内外で紹介して行くという初志をより高い次元で全うできるよう、マネジメントにも力を入れていきたいと考えております。同時に、マガジン、出版、音楽レーベル、ラジオ等メディアの制作、『ART
AWARD TOKYO』や、若手作家を後押しして行く企画、教育プログラムやサロンの創出など、よりアートを社会化する活動も進めて行きたいと考えております。今後共ご指導ご鞭撻の何卒宜しくお願いいたします。
新スペース第一弾の展示としては、ギャラリーアーティスト11人（赤羽史亮、秋山幸、今村洋平、岩永忠すけ、大庭大介、大田黒衣美、栗山斉、ヒョンギョン、星野武彦、正木美也子、ヤマタカアイ）による『NEW
BEGINNINGーThe show must go on！』展を予定しております。今後もマジカルの中心となって行く作家をまとめてご紹介する事で、新生マジカルの方向性を感じ取っていただけたら幸いです。
初日7/7の7PMよりささやかなイベントも行ないたいと思います。
